Creating an OS Process |

Before you begin this task: You must have the role of systemAdmin or organizationalAdmin to create an OS process.
By creating an OS Process for JVM, you can group and run multiple Service Containers in a single OS Process. This saves a lot of memory space which otherwise would have been greater by running the Service Containers individually.
- On CUSP > My Applications, click
(System Resource Manager). The System Resource Manager window appears and lists the available Service Containers in the Service Containers section.
Note: Alternatively, you can clickto view the existing Service Containers.
- Click
in the section. The Manage OS Processes dialog box appears.
- Select a Monitor Service Container from the drop-down list. Available OS Processes are listed in the OS Process - <Monitor Service Name> box.
- Click
to create an OS Process. The OS Process Properties group box is displayed in the same window.

Field
Description
Name
Name of the OS process.
JVM Arguments
The arguments (if any) that need to be passed for the Java executable.
Note: To include multiple arguments, type them in separate lines.
The OS process is created in the Monitor Service Container.
After you complete this task:
- After creating an OS Process, you must restart the Monitor.
- You can configure a Service Container to an OS Process in the following way:
- In the Properties - <Service Container> section, select the Assign OS Process option and select an OS Process from the list.
